This is really smart. We have hundreds of fields synced and 80% of them are not useful. Any time I need to review the activity for a person record, I have to scroll through tons of field updates that are totally irrelevant. I wish we had been more thoughtful initially!
I personally think it's not an appropriate question for the MCE Exam. And actually I disagree with their "correct" answer! But you know, teach to the test...

Yes, this is found in the Definitive Guide to Lead Scoring. IMHO this doesn't really belong on the exam. I only knew to prepare for it because it came up in the test prep class.
Agree with these! I would really drill into Acquisition Program - they asked several questions about it. I also did a deep dive into reports—I actually learned quite a bit! Know which reports have custom columns for sure.
This is a good question. I was planning on taking one (eventually)—although there doesn't appear to be a lot of documentation/training about it.

Definitely use the Marketo package as a starting point for your own template, then customize that as necessary. You want to take advantage of Program Tokens in your template.
