Would be different for filters with "contains" or "starts with", as they will not update. If your naming convention changes significantly that's where your risk is.
I would always create content programs to run inside engagement programs, rather than simply adding the email into your stream. That means you can set up the content program and your champion / challenger more easily as well.

If you capture the date upon the form fill, why would you need that massive wait step? Simply set up a daily batch smart campaign to send out the reminder for anyone whose value in the field is today?
