Hello, I'm trying to do an analysis of how our users access our content. We are a news provider and publish multiple new stories every day.
I've segmented our Marketo database into 3 groups:
1. Power Users--Users who have visited our site 6 or more times this year
2. Prospective Power Users--Users who have visited our site at least 2 times but less than 6 times this year
3. Casual Users--Users who have visited our site only once this year.
To segment these contacts in Marketo, I've created the following smart lists:
1. Power Users: Contact has visited web page which contains (our URL) between Jan 1, 2021 and May 31, 2021, Min. Number of Times: 6
2. Prospective Power Users: Contact has visited web page which contains (our URL) between Jan 1, 2021 and May 31, 2021, Min. Number of Times: 2, AND contact is not in Smart List #1
3. Casual Users: Contact has visited web page which contains (our URL) between Jan 1, 2021 and May 31, 2021, AND contact is not in Smart List #1 and Smart List #2
The counts I am getting from this analysis are not making sense. Below is what I get for each segment:
1. Power Users: 9,846
2. Prospective Power Users: 7,194
3. Casual Users: 3,405
Logically, the Casual User group should have the most contacts, and the Power User group should have the least. It's potentially correct I suppose, but I'm wondering if I'm building these lists incorrectly. Does anyone have any input or thoughts on this? Thanks.
