This marketoonist cartoon always sticks out to me when I think about these topics: Granted it's a little content-specific, I think one of the ways that a lot of companies fall short in the broader realms of nurture, too. There's not many who are really able to genuinely understand their customer's i...
I love Feedly as a tool to discover new blogs/sources and keep track of my favourites. Really Good Emails is definitely my favourite go-to for inspiration on the design/content side of email marketing - it's awesome to see what some really innovative brands are doing and a great way to stop yourself...
Josh Hill's totally right here, too. As is generally the case in Marketo, there's a multitude of ways you could solve this, really just depends on which solution is best suited for the format & detail you're looking for!
I just wish I'd started with them! Going back through all the existing "always on" programs to restructure them around the lists was (while 100% necessary and worth doing) very mundane and slow. But we live and learn
Hey Michelle,Great to hear a thumbs up for google sheets! Processes can be a hard thing to convey across the span of time and tenure. Moving agency side recently I've found myself relying on google sheets more and more for their ease of sharing and accessibility for my clients, but I'm missing the s...

Stop duplicating the same rules through all of your lists & programs to determine mailability, correct customer types, product interests, regions - identify the key rules you need to u...
I first set up a Marketo instance as a solo in-house user in a highly regulated industry (where everything must be documented, auditable and signed off). Now I'm agency side, helping clients build and follow best practice solutions. I keep coming back to the importance of a well documented instance ...
+1 to Josh Hill's answer, this is what I've always done, just looks like:Alex Munro is correct too, especially on the why. A partial URL would work, and including the http:// reference won't necessarily make it not function as a link, Marketo just won't track it.But definitely make sure you test carefully, it's easy to accidentally include the http:// in the token, or miss it in the tag.On a side note, I've also used separate tokens for links and UTMs in the past, which can be a handy way of ensuring UTM consistency.
Hey Laura,It might depend on exactly what you're trying to show in the report (i.e., is the focus just the number of people, the performance of the email or the performance of the leads). You probably want to create an email performance report with some smart list filters to restrict it to exactly t...
