Is this a list of Contacts synced with a CRM? If so, you can't update Account level fields in Marketo. You'll have to make those changes in your CRM.

The numerical value is the ID of one of the records that failed to merge. There's probably an error generated by your CRM that is blocking the merge from completing but the UI doesn't show it.
