Thanks for confirming @SanfordWhiteman! Incase anyone's interested, I ended up just using a mktoText element and set it to display: none for the preheader. This at least allowed the use of so that it could take up enough space and the rest of the email wouldn't appear in the Gmail preview. Too bad...
Thank you! I had forgotten that's how it used to be done.
Right, and I already have the HTML5 doctype in the template. Guess it's just a limitation of the text editor.
Hello,I'm trying to link a div in a guided landing page template but the text editor keeps throwing out the tag when it's wrapped around a div. Is there a way around this? I'd rather not move the mktoText to the inner div and make the link a variable since I'd like the user to be able to make that dynamic.

Slides 1-10 would be o...
I actually was able to find a different way to do this by hiding the instead and changing the styles around. But I'm still curious if anybody has been able to use variables in the or if it's not possible?
Hello,I'm trying to create an extra space row in an email that needs to be different for desktop and mobile. I thought I'd create two rows and hide one for desktop/mobile but I've run into an issue where I can't get the variable in the to work. It just uses the default instead of the value I insert...
Thank you for your thorough explanation! I thought it was probably done with cut up images but couldn't find any tutorials to confirm. Your suggestion for gradients might just work for what I'm trying to do, which is something simpler with a slanted background color, but with variables for the colo...
