Absolutely agree Michael! That is the only way to keep control of which person goes into which engagement program and to avoid multiple programs firing at the same person.

@Melissa_Day is spot on on both counts. And really good to highlight the smart campaign dynamics. Many people are unaware that people already in a flow will complete it, even if you deactivate the smart campaign.
You would use the filter to state a person cannot be member of any engagement program where the cadence is Normal, like in this example, or add other constraints based on your situation.With that scenario, you do have to remember to add a constraint in any smart campaign for your engagement programs...
