In the future, do all of your uploading through Marketo and not through Salesforce. No automated de-duper is 100% fool proof. I think RingLead has or is close to having a tool that can clean up this scenario, but I haven't been able to closely research it myself yet.
We use regular smart campaigns to send our emails rather than the email programs with the four boxes. As a result, the tentative dates on our calendar are wrong. Is there a way to fix them or remove them from the calendar? Thanks.
The only way Marketo can pull opportunity info is if the contact is associated via a contact role on the opportunity, not a contact lookup field. So it sounds like you would need some custom SFDC development that will take the contacts from those fields and automatically give them a contact role on ...
Marketo does have the ability to merge leads - but only one by one. For a one-time mass clean up, you'll want to find a service. Actually, I believe Marketo has a service that will work with you on this if you contact them. For avoiding duplicates in the first place, check out RingLead. It will de-du...
Marketo does not update the account object unless you contact Marketo support and ask them to enable this. However, be very careful if you go that route because there are many implications that go along with Marketo updating accounts. For example, you probably don't want Marketo updating account nam...

Then also from within Sales Insight, hit the email tab to see the message you just sent. Click the name of the email to open a preview and then toggle ...
On the leads it will show as a "Data Value Change" which came from the sync to SFDC. It won't count as "Activity" like an email click, webpage visit, or SFDC activity (task) if that's what you mean.
Any changes you make on the lead/contact/account records in SFDC will be automatically reflected in Marketo. If your Marketo lead forms, smart lists, etc. reference this field and it is a picklist then yes, you will need to update the picklist values wherever the field is used.
No "push" should be required since the marketo field is already mapped to the SFDC contact field. Have you tried manually syncing one lead from within Marketo to see if the data goes where you need it?Yes, talk to support on the phone so you can walk them through the steps you took.
As far as I can tell everything looks the way it should. There's a piece of the puzzle I'm missing. The data you're saying is not synced - is it in Marketo but not Salesforce or in Salesforce but not Marketo?
