Sounds like Snippets are the perfect answer for you then.
We enable you to drag a block of HTML onto a "Free-form" landing page. You can also edit the HTML for any Rich-text or Snippet element on either a "Free-form" or "Guided" mode landing page. Are you trying to do something more?

There are also text tokens. You could use rich-text token from the HTML version of the email and a text token for the TEXT version of the email.Also, snippets already support this as well so that is another option.

If you double-click an editable section, you can drag the "Image" icon from the right pane into the rich-text editor. This will bring up a picker for images that have been uploaded to the design studio.
