If you mean the default unsub footer, yes that seems to be true.I'd have a footer hard coded to the email template as well if that's an issue for you.
Steve,I'd test this briefly because in the past there were issues if the mktEditable sections did not line up in both Old and New Templates, you would lose your original email text. Be careful.
Louise, Welcome. There are tons of tips and tricks to getting Marketo going. As Michael notes, there are great tutorials on the University section. I also share a lot of lessons on Marketingrockstarguides.com which includes setup. Is there something specific you need help with?
Yes I have done this. You just setup a subdomain CNAME and make sure your IT guys have it as alias to any existing email boxes you want to monitor. Hi Tom,You can hire Marketo's team to do this for you (they charge though) or you can hire an html and web designer. Give them the code from a New blank tempalte and they should be able to code it from there.Be sure they use absolute IMG URLs because you'll need to upload the images to Marketo first...
You can remove that by selecting the field and looking at the Values. If the Default is set to "Select" in both columns, delete the "Marketo Value" value to blank. You could also just delete that "Select One" altogether.
