Are you viewing the source code within the landing page template editor, or directly from the live page?My first thought is the code has been entered into a token that's populating the landing pages, which wouldn't show in the landing page editor.
How are unsubscribed Leads counted? Unsubscribed leads should still count toward your lead database number, as they are considered "known".

Agreed! I've already redone a bunch of our landing pages to include more universal tokens and - within days - felt more productive!

That's definitely bizarre. I've come across issues where there were multiple duplicates to merge due to list imports, but not this. I would contact Support to make sure there were no sync errors (makes me wonder if there's a way to tell in the Activity History?)
Do both of the leads in Marketo have an Original Source Type of salesforce.com?
