Oh I get that - I just think I shouldn't have to resort to scripting to get basic functionality. The chances of me teaching every team member and client to script well is zero.
Becoming massively important with the release and uptake of new SFDC packages like the Higher Education and NonProfit Success Pack. These use multiple account relationships inherently in the package. Marketo has to show some movement on this.
I would go further and ask that admins be allowed to set up a date format for date type fields in the admin and that format is perpetuated across Marketo. Anything Marketo does here will annoy people in different geographies where date formats differ.
I have been pushing Marketo for an answer on this. It's becoming absolutely critical. It could end up being one of those things that makes the Marketo-Salesforce sync unusable and redundant.
I really really don't want this idea to be implemented. I understand the issue it's trying to solve all too well, but this is not the way to solve it. This would take away a huge piece of functionality and flexibility we have now that is needed for different use cases.

I have often said I think the Marketo documentation as quoted above is incorrect. My experience is what Dan describes. They receive nothing in this cast if they don't qualify, and they receive the next piece of content in the stream at the next cast, not the current cast.
