The odd thing is that while Marketo's form will allow an email address like persona@marketo, their email server won't send it, the field on the lead record has a red squiggly line under it and the same happens when you enter it into a report subscription.
Josh Hill , 2-3% of the hundreds of new leads we generate each day have a typo in the email address. And I now need to correct the thousands that have gotten into our database over the years, since there was no form validation of the email address. Not something I have the bandwidth to do manually...
Hey Sanford Whiteman, the https://docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/Add+Tracked+Links+to+a+Text+Email product doc, states "Enter the URL with double brackets like this: [[www.domain.com/path/page.html]] then click SAVE." I sent an email to the docs team and they indicated that the http:// and ht...
Wow - so you must have had a massive sync backlog. Were there Salesforce Sync Errors in your Notifications tab? If so, you can subscribe to get a Salesforce Sync Error email when these occur (see screen shots below). Also, you may want to talk your CRM admin into setting the 'Password Never Expire...
After 3 days, it's unlikely that a sync backlog would be causing this, but you can check in Admin > Salesforce and observe the date/time stamp in the upper right corner. More likely would be a sync error with the lead that has this behavior. You can check for this in that lead's Activity Log by ty...
A triggered smart campaign only qualifies one lead at a time. Since each lead is processed separately (albeit miliiseconds apart), the Send Email flow action won't suppress sending an email to each duplicate. Did Marketo Support indicate that sending the email to each email duplicate lead is expect...
Nichole Cunningham - PRODUCTION, why don't you do the email validation before the form submission, and prevent the creation of leads without a valid email address? Most of our new leads with invalid email addresses are due to typos in the email address. It's bad to let these be submitted for sever...
Thanks for the more extensive screen shot. From it I can see that the two Change Data Value activities were at the same time as the Fill Out Form activity, so those changes are likely associated with that. You can confirm this by viewing the detail of the Change Data Value activities whose Source ...
Since your screen shot of the Change Data Value activities doesn't show a Campaign Name, I'm guessing that the changes came from SFDC and your form is likely submitting its data to SFDC not Marketo. And so the fields would be in the SFDC Custom Fields tab in the Marketo lead record, not under the ...
A Marketo Professional Services consultant did this with me a couple of years ago, but I haven't had a chance to implement this yet.
