FTR -- I'm sure this is already clear to you, Danielle, but for searchers in the future -- if you're using a subscription center that isn't technically tagged as the unsubscribe link, going to the sub center will be considered a click, even if it ends in an unsubscribe.

+1

If you are not using Marketo's unsubscribe link, then you should include your own <a> tag with class="mktNoTrack" if you would like clicks to be untracked.

Re: Quick Question: Does Click to Open Rate Include Unsubscribe Clicks?

Also for future searchers, this means that, if you can (if your subscription center is intended to replace the unsubscribe form), it is recommended to have the URL of the subscription page to be UnsubscribePage.html. Soing so, Reader, will enable you to continue using the {(system.unsubcribepage}} token and have this click to be excluded from the counts automatically.

To give this URL to the subscription center page you will first have to remove this URL from you "old" unsubscribe page, using the "landing page actions->URL Tools->Edit URL settings" menu.

Re: Quick Question: Does Click to Open Rate Include Unsubscribe Clicks?

It actually depends on how you have implemented your Unsubscribe process.

In my case, we have a custom flow to a Landing Page (due to the need for Language Preference Eng/Fr), on which the user can unsubscribe.

In this case, the clicks on our Unsubscribe link are counted as clicks.

These (in my case) do not show as true Unsubscribes.

Note: My team is actively working to correct this so we get true visibility to Unsubscribes!

Re: Quick Question: Does Click to Open Rate Include Unsubscribe Clicks?

Is there a quick way to check if I am currently using Marketo's unsubscribe button rather than a custom one?
