Hello my Community Pals!
I'm currently doing some data cleanup for records that don't have a Microsoft Type and there are plenty that have run through a previous Marketo Smart Campaign driving records into a MS Dynamics campaign that has failed due to an uncaught exception. I'm using a Batch Campaign to push them over now and get this error for every record in the campaign:
The campaign exists in MS Dynamics and there are other members of the related program that synced over via the related Smart Campaign so I don't understand what the issue is here.
Is it because I'm trying to update via the Batch Campaign? When I search the error online, the AI overview tells me a few things:
We have a standard process to use an Add to Microsoft Campaign flow step in related smart campaigns, which is a batch campaign so I'd assume that, if I didn't have permission to use this in batch campaigns, then I'd never be able to add records.
I can ask my CRM Team to check settings, for example, but would love to know specifically how to direct them - they have little to no understanding/experience of the integration or the setup (the person who was responsible for that process previously has left) so I would like to make it as easy to direct them as possible.
If there's any other information I can share to help diagnose the issue, let me know.
As always, I appreciate any insight 😀
Michelle
@michellechopin if you re-run the flow step for these people, do you still see the same error, given that the campaign sync in the Marketo Admin is not an issue and is currently active? You can also try Resetting the Dynamics Campaign Sync checkbox as it will refresh all the previously synced Campaign data and the associations with the Marketing Lists in Dynamics, which could fix any errors/gaps in the sync that might have resulted in the error previously.
I apologize in advance if I didn't understand this question correctly, but it's the expected and documented behavior that you can't use the Flow Step "Add to Microsoft Campaign" in batch campaigns. You need to set it up as a trigger campaign.
