We recently created a new engagement stream and have the cast cadence set to every other Tuesday. I just checked the stream and report and see that an email went out this Tuesday and then the second email went out on Wednesday of the same week. Could you tell me why that is and how to make sure that doesn't happen in the future since we plan to add additional emails to the stream?

Can you send a screen shot of the report? Check the setup of the report? Were these emails used by any other program?
I would identify a few leads that received the email on wednesday and look at their activity history and see which program it was that sent the email to confirm that it is the engagement program.
Agree. Also click the "View" option under Streams and go to "Leads". For "All Casts" that will show if the second email actually cast from this stream or not.
These emails were not used in other programs - this report is in the analytics section under engagement stream reports.
Your first cast is set to Wed and your next cast is always on Tuesdays.
