Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Stephanie Ristow Jun 21, 2017 3:30 PM (in response to Josh Hill)I spoke with GTW and Marketo and they both confirmed that Marketo is not yet supporting the GTW simulated live plugin unfortunately. In the meantime, we're just going to promote our past webinar on-demand.

Ryan Lessard Jul 10, 2017 4:40 PM (in response to Stephanie Ristow)A product manager at Log Me in (GTW) informed me in May 2017 that this integration would be active the beginning of this quarter. Fingers crossed.

Has there been any update to this? Looking to try and use marketo to promote a simulated live webinar as part of a test. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Rachel Bosley Feb 6, 2018 10:32 AM (in response to Stephanie Ristow)I'm testing the feature out now, and using Zapier to connect registrants between Marketo and GTW. It's not the most elegant solution, but I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Michael Collins Feb 12, 2018 9:21 AM (in response to Stephanie Ristow)any update on this one? I now have Marketing Managers wanting to use the new GTW functionality...but isn't this fundamentally a recording of a webinar - so we don't really need unique URLs for individuals to log in - or am i missing something?

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Michael Collins Apr 19, 2018 1:58 AM (in response to Stephanie Ristow)I spoke to GTW support yesterday and they have just sent me this response -
Hello Michael,
They (meaning GTW) have finally rolled out Simulated Live support however it's only in v2 of our API. You'll need to reach out to Marketo and ensure that they've updated to v2 of our GoToWebinar API: https://goto-developer.logmeininc.com/gotowebinar-api-overview-v2
I spoke to Marketo Support and they said the best thing to do would be to add something here: -
"Simulated Live" Integration with Marketo
which is what I've done - and here's what I put, as well as the note above: -
This is important because we are running more and more webinars - less budget in Marketing, so more need to reuse resources - a webinar would be run, recorded and then scheduled in advance using Simulated Live - so it's a huge time saver for Marketing teams. It also allows us to reuse the webinar resource in multiple time zones without local Marketing teams needing to be there to set up/run/monitor/end the webinar...this is a 2018 must-have...
so I guess now everyone needs to vote for this and we'll see what Marketo do...

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Adele Miller Apr 19, 2018 10:42 AM (in response to Michael Collins)YES thank you Michael, I have voted. We spoke to GTW about this in January and were told to sit tight, so hopefully we are nearly there.

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Rachel Bosley Apr 26, 2018 6:29 AM (in response to Michael Collins)Thanks for the update Michael Collins - great news. I'm asking my team to vote.
As an update - I've been using the Simulated live feature since February and connecting registrants from a Marketo Landing Page to GTW through Zapier - and it works! It's been great, and once set up, it's automated. It just takes a little bit of tweaking when a new webinar is set up.
I would still prefer to see Marketo support this though, because it's WAY more simple to set up

Nhi Duong Jun 26, 2018 6:34 PM (in response to Rachel Bosley)Hi Rachel,
Currently running into this problem now, can you possible share a step-by-step on how you did it using Zapier? What's the trigger and what did the action convert to? Any help is appreciated, thanks Rachel!

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Diego Villamizar Jul 20, 2018 4:26 AM (in response to Rachel Bosley)@Rachel . Seems like this is a popular one. Could you please tell us how was the zapier from Marketo to GTW? At the moment only works with new leads but not for existing leads. Appreciate your help.

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Rachel Bosley Aug 14, 2018 1:36 PM (in response to Diego Villamizar)The only way I could get it to work was by setting it up through a webhook. So once the lead registers on your Marketo page, you would call the webhook that's connected to your Zap.

Brittini Smith Sep 4, 2018 9:27 AM (in response to Rachel Bosley)Can you be more specific? Trying to set this up now but still unsure how to set it up given the Zapier options I see available.
Thanks!!!

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Rachel Bosley Sep 4, 2018 12:34 PM (in response to Brittini Smith)For the trigger in Zapier, I used "catch hook" and then "create registrant" as the action in GTW. In Marketo, you'll need to follow the Zapier documentation to create a webhook. So, when someone registers on your Marketo LP, you would have a smart campaign listening for the form fill, and then would trigger the webhook in the flow. The webhook would then trigger in Zapier and create the lead in GTW.

Re: GoToWebinar Simulated Live Integration
Peter Kosmal Oct 9, 2018 1:45 PM (in response to Michael Collins)How has it been this long and Marketo STILL hasn't updated to version 2 of GTW's API? Seems like a no-brainer to me.
