Agreed - customers should have the right to opt-out too. Operational emails should not contain any marketing content and failing to do so can have legal repercussions. Here is a good discussion of when to use an operational email.
Can you further explain what you mean by "disqualified leads?" We are actually right on the borderline of our Marketo database limit so would love some more insight on this.
They will not sync back to Marketo as part of the regular sync cycle. They will only sync back if the person is updated in SFDC correct?
We have our communication limits set at 1/day and 3/week, but usually keep it to 1 or 2 per week. Through our experiences we have found 3 a week to be a bit overkill for some of our audience, so restrict hitting that cap as much as possible.
