I have not had this issue. Have you gone into the admin section and looked up the field names? It could be that two different fields have the same name. For example, maybe one field is on the lead and other is on the contact and they're not mapped together in Marketo.
Is there documentation on what bounce codes trigger Marketo to flag the email address as invalid? Does Marketo ever un-flag the email invalid status?
Thanks Ed, great stuff. Question about category 3 - in your screen shot I see some of those soft bounces were marked as invalid email addresses by Marketo. What do you do with those? Do you mark them valid again?

Are you referring to the "View This Email as a Webpage" link? It will be visible when you send a test of the email.
I haven't tested this, but my guess is that Salesforce would not block Marketo from creating the lead. Have you tried?
