This is probably just a UI bug. Test your content by sending yourself a sample/test to see if it's still there. If it's not a UI bug and your content is actually missing, file a support case.
Marketo currently does not automatically sync leads to SFDC. If a lead is synced to SFDC, this means that you have something configured in your instance to do so, whether it's a flow action of implied sync through Marketo program>sfdc campaign sync or some other process.
Is the email configured as operational?
This should work. Are the values for Lead/Account objects for the Industry field in SFDC identical?
