yes, there is a durable unsubscribe. If you delete a lead, Marketo keeps a table of such leads and if the lead fills out a form again, they are automatically unsubscribed until they opt-in to resubscribe

I think its more than likely because your lookup field on a Lead, Contact, Account, and/or Object is referencing another Salesforce object in the system.You can create a new custom field and choose type as "formula". Now you can run a relationship query and ask name instead of ID.
