Can you give a little more clarity on how they accidentally unsubscribed? I'm wondering if there might be something else preventing them from receiving the newsletter such as hitting their email limit for the day/week or possibly bouncing.
Are there duplicates in your database? One thing you can do is investigate the activity within the batch campaign to see if that can paint a picture for you.

Interesting, did you clear out all scores? If so, maybe reach out to Support. I thought for sure that clearing out the lead scores would move them out.

Best Bets are calculated by lead score. You could try to wipe the lead score for that record to see if that removes them from the Best Bets list. Also, you can adjust the Best Bets criteria within the Admin section of Marketo, see screenshot!
