The short answer is no, MSI emails sent through Salesforce/Outlook will not show up in leads activity history in SFDC, regardless of whether these leads exist in Marketo or not. This is one of the shortcomings of the MSI, we log interesting moments for all the emails sent through MSI as a workaround...
Oh yeah, happens in our instance all the time as well! How about this one?If you have Marketo open in several tabs and then logout/login again, that's what you'll see in each and every one of the tabs where Marketo is open, refreshing browser doesn't do anything, you have to close all the tabs, open ...
Try to turn off the sync while creating and mapping new fields in SFDC, so that Marketo gets access to them after they are mapped correctly.
Yep, agree, processing times for lists and campaigns is a separate issue, I am also talking more about waiting for 5-10 seconds to open an email preview, approve a draft, even to click between Design Studio and Marketing activitiesI would imagine the speed varies greatly across instances, we have 1M...

In our org around 10-20% of leads from medi...
Hi Greg, how about the general speed/processing times improvements? and I am not even talking about just smart lists and campaigns, in our instance performing ANY action takes at least 5-10 seconds if not longer. We do deactivate/archive on regular basis, but it doesn't really solve the issue. We hav...
We have a global unsubscribe footer set up in the admin section so all the emails do have the footer, and it still happens.Another reason for the sample email not getting sent is when you have a token in your sent from/to and there is no default value defined, e.g. if you have {{lead.lead owner emai...
Great method, we do something similar, I inherited a lot of Marketo fields we no longer use, so I use several of them to store temporary data
Happens to me all the time with sample emails, a weird hack I discovered is that if you make your email operational Marketo will always send you a sample, with marketing emails it often stops doing that after 2-3 tries, so I either make the email operational for the time I am testing it (there is al...
