Yeah sounds like we're all on the same page then about how to proceed. Thanks Josh Hill and Greg for the input!
The backslash escape doesn't work either, but great idea.I've built standardizers in Marketo so it sounds like that'll be the way to go. I was hoping to make it more preventative so that the system wouldn't have to react to the inaccurate data as much. Also, while this specific use case is resolved, ...
Hi Dona,Yes, you can and there are a few ways to do this. Are you using an Email program or a default program? The email program has the ability to add tests built into it natively, while with the default program you'll have to use a Random Sample.
The only use case I can imagine for this would be an invite to a webinar or offline event. But even then, it shouldn't be a carbon copy of the email they received a week ago.
With SFDC becoming our source of truth, we standardized countries based on the standard list that SFDC provides. This was a fairly easy implementation in SFDC but it is becoming a minor headache in Marketo due to the fact that some countries are listed with a comma in the name, such as "Congo, the D...
Is it possible to just pin this to the top?
Makes sense, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to shoot myself in the foot! Appreciate the chat as always, Greg.
Got it, so you are checking it, just not in the same place as I am.And that would be operationally less taxing than creating a trigger campaign for every country with a filter for the invalid values?
You make a valid point about the list of invalid countries being ever evolving and thus reactive rather than proactive. However, what I don't understand then is how are you updating the country values to the correct one? Surely you have to check somewhere what the invalid value is and update it acco...
I approached the problem similarly but with a slight twist.I exported every lead in Marketo and used a pivot table to organize them by country and state. I then set the filters in the trigger campaigns to be only the countries that need updating (e.g. "US of A", "America", etc) and had the flow step...
