Greg, those are indeed channels - not content types (IMO). Here are our channels - which accurately reflect the channels that we use to go to market:
What you described in your first sentence is actually reversed, no? The way most of us use Channels is to define the primary channel (social, PPC, website content, events, etc.). A sub-type, for example, would be LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook (as sub-types of social). I wouldn't recommend the latte...
I'd like to also add that not only does the Default view contain a lot of irrelevant columns, but it doesn't even contain many of the custom fields that we've created that should be contained here to make these reports meaningful.
I completely agree with you (and voted on this idea). I just didn't know if you had RCE; or knew that this was possible in RCE. I also would like to be able to use tags in the smart lists of smart campaigns.
This is possible today, but you need Revenue Cycle Explorer (RCE)
