The issue is that tokens don't work with update triggers on custom objects. I was on a fool's errand the whole time.

None of these values are populating. All the appropriate fields are checked for this custom object. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks - I'm coming back to Marketo after 3 years with other platforms, and I really only spent 2 or 3 months with it the first time (we migrated from Eloqua 10 and then I changed jobs) so I'm asking all the fun rookie questions that I'm 95% sure on, but confirming.

As far as reports go, I'm wondering about the basic email engagement & deliverability reports: Send, Delivered, Bounced, Unsubscribed, Open, Click. Those should remain the same right?

Thanks Sanford - I'll try this, see how it works and let you know if it does. Also - can you recommend any good tutorials to learn Velocity? I'm looking at this and it makes no sense to me what exactly it's doing.
