Do you happen to have an example that's loading this slowly? The server-side timeout is well below that, so there may be some issues on the client side unless your requests are timing out and you're ending up with a boatload of retries in between.

The winning record will be chosen based off of the winner in CRM. So the winning ID in marketo will the the one that has the GUID of the winning one in CRM. All of the record's activity logs will be migrated to the winning record.

I would definitely file a support case for this then.
