Is there a definitive answer between these two video hosting services?
As I understand, Vidyard has better integration with Marketo but is way more expensive. This is what they claim:
I use Wistia right now but haven't integrated with Marketo yet. Need to upgrade subscription first. Are people having challenges with Wistia integration? Have read some old threads but just wondering if there hasn't been any recent improvement with their platform.
It's time to integrate video with Marketo but I haven't decided which video hosting service to move forward with.

I personally think that until Vidyard increases their integration with Marketo (IE allow Marketo forms and not just email collection) there's no reason to pay for their product. Last year, there was a whole session at summit around tokens and it included how to integrate wistia with Marketo landing pages and collect virtually the EXACT same data as Vidyard. Granted, more time consuming, but also cheaper until they step up their game. You can't do the video recommendation feature without some coding, but personally I've been waiting for that product to step up its game first. However, if you are looking to increase your content exposure and tracking, I'd recommend checking out Uberflip. They use Vidyard for the video portion of hosting the content, but it offers more as a content solution.
Noah,
I can’t speak from experience with either service, but Marketo does have some information about both services on the launchpoint.marketo.com site. Here are the corresponding page:
Wistia: http://launchpoint.marketo.com/wistia/966-wistia-for-marketo/
Vidyard: http://launchpoint.marketo.com/vidyard/896-vidyard-for-marketo/
Another alternative would be if you were to post the video on YouTube and then use Marketo’s native Social options to embed that video on your Marketo pages. Here’s the documentation that shows that: https://docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/Add+a+Video+to+a+Free-form+Landing+Page.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. Sounds like people are having success with Wistia integration although a little more cumbersome to set up. Probably worth the extra effort since Vidyard is way more expensive. They do offer a Vidyard specialist/customer success person to help customers with video marketing strategies and regularly scheduled meetings, which is helpful, but not sure justifies the increased price.
I'm leaning more toward sticking with Wistia at this point.
Noah - we have Wistia and are very happy with the integration with Marketo. Reach out to Peter Kosmal if you have any questions as he runs our multimedia program.
Wistia is a great product with a strong community, and we also have a dedicated support specialist that helps us with video marketing strategies. They also have a very strong sense of education and are constantly pumping out videos and articles on various topics. I'm a fan.
I know this was from earlier, but I thought I'd give my take in case anyone finds this.
I used Vidyard and it's Marketo integration. It also has an awesome SFDC integration. You can also use Marketo forms now, not just email as Kristen mentioned previously.
We are able to track video views for known leads and are able to score them and push them to reps. Using the Salesforce integration, they can see which videos they watched and for how long. They can also send videos straight from Salesforce. We also share personalized videos and thumbnails in Marketo emails.
