Nothing much to speak of in the Winter 2017 release - is what we can expect now that Marketo is owned by venture capitalists?
Hi Tim Madel. If you haven't seen it, you may want to listen to the recording of Steve Lucas' webinar to all customers and partners, which was held on the 15th, as he spends a fair bit of time talking about Marketo's product innovation going forward.
Thanks, Janet
Thanks Janet
Hi Tim,
"Products" would be probably a better place for this thread than "Marketing Central". It would guarantee that many more people would see it and react, if this is what you want.

Thank you - still figuring my way around
I have to agree here. Now that these only happen four times a year, the expectation is that these would contain significant, innovative features/enhancements (ideally inspired from some of the most popular IDEAS submitted) or at least hit on some of the core missing features that have been highlighted in this thread: Just do it! Marketo so-called minor missing features. Thanks Grégoire Michel
But then again, perhaps Marketo is saving some of this to announce at Summit.
And yes, Dory, these were pushed live this weekend. Odd that you didn't receive an email from Cheryl a couple weeks ago (received on Feb. 22).
HI also have to agree on this one. I understand that there quite a few important projects going on though, so let's expect some good news in SFO.

I think what also might be contributing so some of this frustration is due to all of the announcements, emails, etc. that went out last week around Project Orion. Many of us are still unclear of what the migration path looks like and hear of any customers that have been moved to this enhanced architecture who are experiencing the performance increases that Orion is said to bring.
Marketo Project Orion Rollout Leaves Some Customers Complaining, Confused
+1
And another point is that, despite all the promising vision, many clients use Marketo first to run and automate campaign and tasks. For them, the first ROI is the time saved on doing things and the capability given to Marketing to do more with the same resources.

I just started seeing the Winter '17 release notes on the homepage of my instance today... Do you think they did a rollout and we just got updated?
Biggest thing I glean from this is that any Forms v1.0 need to be fully converted by August (supposed transition date) where they will automatically be transitioned to the new experience.
I just read the announcement - Release Notes: Winter '17 - Marketo Docs - Product Docs - have to say, I am not impressed either.
Great that they are pushing the new products forward but what about the old staples everyone knows and loves.......when they are not driving us insane
I'm excited for "Leads" to now be called "People": Naming Convention Update
This going to take me some time to get used to! Everytime I see "People" i'm always like:
I imagine it would take some getting used to. But I'm glad it's being put into place to settle the everlasting debate between Marketo seeing a lead and contact as the same thing.
If fact, the "Lead" to "People" change was rolled out before the winter '17, so even this is not part of this latest release.

For it to show up in the databases seems to be taking a while as well though....
Does anyone know when this will be rolled out to enterprise customers? A schedule?
During my MCE exam prep, the instructor said it gets rolled out when you renew your Marketo subscription. Not sure, but I'd guess a support request could result in an immediate switchover.
Well, if that's really the case then this is less of a "Winter" release, and more of a "when we get to it" release. That would be disappointing, as it opens the possibility of this happening again for features that we'd actually want to have straight away!
