Can someone confirm this is my issue here - I'm currently finalizing our revenue model/lead lifecycle and recently removed one of our stages. Now when I go to approve it, it gives the error, "At least one success path stage must be assigned to phase 'Marketing Qualified'. I was reading a document about the modeler earlier and it said there must be at least 5 stages after Anonymous. Is this the reason why I'm receiving this error or is it something else?
Where are leads coming from to become an MQL? They should be coming from either anonymous or off the success path. Also what stage did you remove? Do you have 5 stages after anonymous?
Leads that become MQL are coming from the success path, which is why I don't understand why I'm receiving this error. I have 4 stages after anonymous, with another 4 detours. I removed the MEL stage, since we have an SDR team that vets all new leads and moves them manually into the MQL, Unqualified or Recycle.
Did you assign the rules to move them along the success path? I've found that the only time I recieve errors is when my logic in conflicting on the success path. What rules/triggers have you set to move them to/from that stage?
Go to the Phases at the top of the screen and just move the MQL line to whatever you want. You may need to add a Stage for MQL if you removed it or to put a stage for "SDR", which is usually what happens when you mark someone MQL - they go to some sort of qualification team.
I added back in the MEL stage that I had previously deleted and the modeler works again. So looks like you definitely need 5 stages after anonymous for the path to work properly.
