Hello Marketo community,
I am wondering if it is possible to create dynamic content in emails based on multiple segments? I have a responsive email template, where the entire email body (including header, footer, banner) is included in "section 1." I want to make part of the content dynamic based on persona segment and the images dynamic based on industry segment. Does anyone know if this is possible by segmentation or any other best practices for dynamic content for this scenario?
Thank you in advance!
Jodie
Yes, in your email there is a section on the far right with this feature. click the segment by button and then select the segmentation you want to use. then drag the sections you want to segment into the section that appears below.
Jodie,

The answer is essentially, No. You need separate editable areas in an Email to do what you want. Each item and image needs to have an Editable Section to do what you desire.
What you COULD do is make the entire area Dynamic. Just right click and bring up the gear icon menu and use Segment by and then replace the whole section with a new one for each Segment. That's perfectly fine to do. The drawback is you won't have the level of control that you would with separate sections.
You can only segment each block by one type of segment (e.g. language, persona, buying stage). But you can't have nested segments. You could either create a whole lot of segment combinations. Or set up multiple emails. Or like one of the ideas below and wait.
There're some ideas on this:

If you want to do multiple segmentations within a single content block, you really need to use email scripting right now.
Hi all,
Thanks that all makes sense. Would be nice to have a "segments within segments" option and the other segmentation ideas Diederik Martens mentioned.
