Constraints in email/social marketing to Healthcare / industry regulations.

I'm wondering if anyone has any guidelines on email constraints when communicating in regulated industries - specifically healthcare but other regulated industries may face the same constraints (i.e, HIPAA/PHI information, acquisition focused, etc.) - A comparison of say someone that buys from GAP vs. healthcare.

Constraints around Social Media Marketing; email marketing, SMS/push messaging, etc.

Sorry to be so vague... just hoping someone can help.

Than you.

It would be hard to find regulations specific for email marketing. Attached is a deck which covers overall restrictions for marketing under HIPAA. It might help you a little bit.

Hi Jamie, I am sure you wanted to write Rachit and not Rachel

Here is the link of the deck: HIPAA Marketing Regulations (1).ppt - Google Drive

To toss my two cents in, I used to do email marketing for health care clients, and general wellness and clinic operating hours and information are always fine.

It's just when communicating patient specific information that you have to review compliance.

Sorry if that is too high level, ha.

There are firms that do have products around this. Strongly urge you to discuss with your legal counsel to design rules and how to handle data.
