Add Form Submission Date to Smart List Options

I would like to be able to see when a contact submits a specific form and run a smart list on this data.

There is already the availability "Filled out Form" as a trigger currently and a Lead History filter for it as well.

You can also add constraints to these.

Hi Amy,

I do not understand the need: the date constraint exist on the trigger and filters.

Can you elaborate?

Well, when I asked support, I was told to fill out a ticket so maybe he and I both need to be trained on how to capture this information. I have a sales rep who wants to know the date of when a form was filled out. Currently, the smart list only shows most recent activity date. How can I get the entire list of all who submitted the form along with the date that they submitted it on a report?

I would create a custom either one or two fields in admin such as "Last Form Date" + "Last Form Name", or "Form XYZ Fill Date"

Then in a Smart Campaign, you can create a trigger as shown in the image above where the form name is "XYZ".

In your flow steps, use Change Data Value, field = Form XYZ Fill Date, with new value of "{{system.date}}"

For me, I know we are often asked just to be able to see all leads who filled out a particular form, with a column header for the form fill date, without having to create a bunch of custom fields to date/time stamp them, or guess at date of activity constraints pulling separate Smart Lists for each. This is something Pardot can do, so it seems Marketo should be able to as well since it's far superior.

There is definitely the option to create a Smart List for those filling the form.

However, the date/time is recorded in the individual Activity Log for each lead.

In order to create a custom view (or just add this column to an existing one), it must be created as a field so that you can add it to the view.

Thanks Geoffrey! Totally understand all that and that's how we do it today, all we're saying is we want form submission date to be a system field on the form object so that when we click on a Form, we can go to something like a "Members" tab to see all of the form fills and the date/time they filled it out.

The problem with making custom fields for Original Form Fill Date and Recent Form Fill Date is losing all of the attribution in the middle. What if a lead fills out three forms? We lose accountability of that second one.

The problem with this method is that you'll override the data with each subsequent form fill.
