GoToWebinar & Marketo for webinar recordings

Hi All,

I am building a landing page in Marketo for webinar recordings. I would like to know what would be the best way for adding the webinar recording to the landing page while preserving the viewing statistics ?

GTW offers 2 methods : Either add the recording link directly to a video section or embed the video into the landing page/website.

Which way does preserve the viewing statistics ?

Another issue : GTW requires a form fill by default to access the webinar recording and I am already adding a form to the landing page, which makes it 2 form fills. Is there any way to add the recording without form fill from GTW?

Thanks!

Re: GoToWebinar & Marketo for webinar recordings

Well, if you embed the video to the page, you can track the views and how far people have watched the recording by generating the custom Munchkin JS events.

Do you use Marketo forms to accept registrations? We usually create a separate on demand page with the recording added to it and then route people to it from the registration page upon form fill directly by creating a redirect rule (i.e., route people to the on demand video page instead of registration confirmation page post form fill).

Thanks @Darshil_Shah1

Yes I am using the form on the landing page to accept registration and right after they fill it out they get the recording on the next page (as you described), but GTW is requiring by default another registration form to access the webinar (the only way we can get analytics data)

Yes, and we considered that a show stopper. We were hosting GTW recordings on Wistia and embedded them on Marketo pages. The integration creates Visit Web Page events in Marketo that contain the percentage of video watched.

Yes, Michael's right! Wisitia is great for capturing video analytics and moreover, you can also use custom Munckin JS to create events in Marketo upon video views, % of the recording viewed, etc.
