Another way to find every campaign using a specific field is to navigate to Admin > Field Management > and drag the field from the right-hand panel. The "Field Used By" section will list all assets using that field, including smart campaigns.

Try clearing your cache and cookies, logging out and back in again, using a different browser, and accessing Marketo from a different network, if applicable. When does the error occur (editing an email, creating a program, etc.) and is it reliably reproducible?
Marketo Support can only restore deleted leads, emails, and landing pages within a certain amount of time after deletion. Deleted forms cannot be restored. They will need to be manually recreated.
Setting Remove from CRM to false is the correct way to do this. Also, keep in mind that the next time the record is updated in Salesforce it will sync back down to Marketo and create a new record.
