Hey Bonnie, You could use a naming convention to tie the campaigns together. But best practice in our company IS to create a parent campaign and tie the campaigns to the parent.
Michelle, first and most importantly, I'd advise against any reason you'd like to create duplicate leads in the system. If you're going to continue, my advice would be to use a different type of form that posts directly to SF rather than through Marketo.

John, the cookie DOES last more than just one session but works best on Marketo landing pages. There's some work to be done if you're hoping to pre-populate information on a page that isn't a marketo landing page.
