Usually use Title/Function to help sort that out. That only works in some situations of course. The problem with a direct ask is many people will just lie on the form to obtain what they want.

I would check the security settings on the Contacts on the SFDC side. You may want to field block this field against updates from SFDC.

Roadshow is a default channel in Marketo, so when you create a Program, just choose Roadshow.If it's not visible, perhaps someone set Roadshow to "invisible" on the Admin > Tags > Channel panel. You can also create a new channel called "Roadshow 2" and set it to be a roadshow type.
