You are absolutely correct, just spoke with the Marketo support, and the small but important detail is that this only happens in the test version of the email. So indeed it is behaving as it should whenever the email is sent. Thanks a lot for the support!

This is indeed the case, I know it is unlikely that someone will click "View in browser" while already viewing the email in the web browser, but just wanted to know if this is standard behavior. Thank you!
