Tout’s dynamic fields are our form of mail merge. We allow you to personalize your email templates with predefined attributes like {{my_name}} or {{my_title}}. These fields allow you to quickly reference yourself in your email templates. We don't have the ability to bubble up Bounces if you are sending through your own server.  So, if you are sending from within your Email client, we don't have the ability to detect the bounces.

If you don't see the tasks you are looking for in your live feed, you will be able to find them in your Command Center in toutapp.com. Click the "Calendar" buttons in the overdue section to change the date range to display your tasks that are not showing up in the live feed.

If you do not see your My Email to Salesforce under your Settings, it is most likely because your admin has not enabled it. This can happen if your team is new to Salesforce or your team has never used the BCC address that Salesforce provides you with. You will need Admin privileges to set this up so you may need to reach out to a Salesforce Admin. Now let's get started! 1. Click on Setup 2. Click Email Administration 3. Click Email to Salesforce 4. Click Edit 5. Check the box next to Active 6. Click Save

Removing a template will cause ALL tracking and analytics around that template to be lost. Sure you want to do this? Okay. If so: Click on the name of the template you would like to remove, then click the trash can icon to remove.

When you are uploading a CSV​ file into Tout, we will merge all like contacts in this CSV file before this import takes place. We do this based on like email address. So, if there are two identical email addresses listed in this file, we will merge this contact into one. Once this contact is in Tout and you manually add/upload the same contact, we will not merge this contact. We only merge contacts on this CSV upload!

For our customers with Campaigns we have now added the ability to put someone on a campaign from any page. There are three ways you can do it: One person at a time Send to selected people Send to an entire group Let's walk through each one! Just hit Add to Campaign instead of Compose to put a single person onto the campaign. This time, I want to send it to three people so I go into People and select a few contacts. Now, instead of Email Selected people, I click Add Selected to Campaign Finally, you know you want to send the campaign to the entire group, so open the group and just click Add Group to Campaign All of these options will show the Campaign modal which after you click Next, will allow you to preview the first email: After hitting Next again, you will be taken to an option for when you want your campaign to go out.  You can either have it start now, or schedule a time for later to begin the campaign: It's just that easy!

At this time, we cannot delete a category.  However, if you delete or move all of the templates within a given category, the category will disappear.

If a contact has been block unsubscribed and you try to email this contact from Gmail (in either the To, Cc or Bcc field) you’ll get a notification that the contact has been unsubscribed and you may not email them using Tout.

Different mail clients measure views differently, but you should take this as a good sign! Oftentimes if someone is scrolling up and down the content of your email, if they open and reopen it, or if they forward it on to someone else, we'll say that your message was viewed multiple times.

You will always want to make sure that each of your email addresses that you use are listed under “Acceptable Email Addresses” in your Salesforce Settings. This makes sure that all emails you are using are authorized within salesforce as a sender. The image below will show you where to check on this within Salesforce: So, if you are seeing error messages pop up in your inbox saying “you are not authorized as a sender”, you will need to check this Salesforce setting!

To merge two groups together, you will have to head into one of these groups and select all contacts in this group. Select Add people to group A window pane will appear verifying this group merge. Here you will have to select the group you would like to move these contacts to. Note: To make sure there are no duplicates, you will want to go back and delete this old group.

Five Tout buttons will be added to the top of your Gmail page when you login: The Live Feed button opens up your ToutApp Live Feed where you can get real-time tracking information on your emails. The Tasks button shows you a dropdown of all your tasks. Templates and Conversations buttons opens up your toutapp.com Templates page, Conversations page respectively, all within your Gmail page. The Sales Gong button allows you to celebrate your closed/won deals with your teammates.
