Re: Zoom Webinars and Marketo Integration

Is anyone using Zoom Webinars? I was able to find the attached documentation(Setting Up Zoom For Marketo). We may be moving from GoToWebinar and want to make sure there are no integration issues or annoyances (specifically with Marketo and SFDC) before switching over.

When I check the default API options in Marketo, Zoom is not on the list:

I'm not understanding your feedback "looking in the wrong place", to be clear - I'm looking to hear from Marketo users who are currently using Zoom as I'm making a decision of whether or not to switch webinar products. If it's going to be more trouble to get this up and running then I'd prefer to know before implementation.

Hi All - I'm currently testing the integration for Zoom. Possibly switching from GTW.

The instructions Zoom provides are easy to understand if you understand those Marketo basics like setting up a webhook and/or an integration, and even then I found there are some missing clarifications that Zoom could add to their documentation. I've provided that feedback to the Zoom team.

What I don't understand and would like an answer to is if I need to create a new webhook for each webinar I create to generate the unique join url? We have bi-weekly webinars, so I would be creating a lot of webhooks if this is the case.

Also, what token should I be including in my webinar confirmation emails so each registrant has their unique webinar login?

Thank you,

Hi Jasmine -

Not sure if this is applicable any more, but we use Zoom for both webinars and demos and have an integration with Marketo. Happy to share my experience with you.

Hi Erin,

Are you able to share your experience with me? I support Japan team and they need to move from webEx to Zoom. How complex is the integration & how long does it take to move. Do you mind sharing your doc?

Very much appreciated!

Hi, I'm not Erin but thought I could help as I'm going through this process right now as well.

Zoom has a fairly detailed guide on how to set up the integration in Marketo: Setting Up Zoom for Marketo – Zoom Help Center

It's not that difficult if you follow everything step by step. However, depending on how you currently use WebEx you might need to set up some additional flows in Marketo for confirmation emails and such.

Hello - was wondering the key reasons you're moving to Zoom from GTW. Thanks!

Hey Erin and Group,

Thanks for your help. Was able to set up the integration and all the data for the most part is syncing.

2 problems I'm having. Im trying to have registrations come through a Marketo form, however doing so means that these registrants:

  • Do not get a "confirmed registration email" which included the calendar schedule function
  • Populate on my smart campaign in Marketo but not under the attendees area in Zoom.

Any help figuring out how to get them a calendar invite (ideally automatic) and have them show up as attendees would be greatly appreciated.

1. Setup ICS token in the Program. Docs.marketo.com has it all.

2. With Zoom, you need to call a webhook to push leads over. Did you do this?

3. you need to setup the confirmation email in Marketo with the Fills out Form trigger. believe there are clear examples in docs and in the forums on how to do this in general.

Thanks Josh! I will take a look at setting up the ICS token.

I do have a webhook set up to push leads over but maybe I didnt do it correctly. Any further references on how to do this?

And your 3rd point, makes sense, I figured I would have to set up a confirmation via a trigger but that calendar token will help with that.

Thanks

This is the current error that shows up when I click through the Smart Campaign and the Webhook Activity. Email doesnt seem to be coming through but all the others do (although webinar id has a "+"in front of it). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Matt,

That plus appears when there is a space before the webinar ID (this usually happens when you copy from the Zoom platform), try going into the webinar ID token and making sure that there is not a space.
