Shouldn't be.

The link tracking works like this:

• Wrap visible link as "info.wellbeingtracker.com" >> http://mywellvolution.com >>> actual URL

assuming the 301 redirects are working before Marketo wraps the visible URL.

Thanks Josh - just curious what are the assuming the 301 redirects that you refer to?

Josh means that if the redirect (server-side location change as opposed to JavaScript redirect -- thus HTTP "301" for short) is all working, that's independent from the rewrite to the tracking domain. They'll work together just fine!

So it sounds like the safest bet is to embed the full URL in the backend code. Right?

I wouldn't bother with that unless you have some fear that the redirect will become unglued/discontinued outside of your control.

Josh and I are both confirming that as long as your redirect works (test that separately) then tracking will be fine.
