Before sending a prospect/customer email, we test the email to ourselves in marketing. But we don't send the emails to the owner in sales or account management.
We recently have had several requests from sales, account management and even leadership that they see a copy of the email before it sends out.
We currently build all our email programs ad hoc. I believe the solution to this would be to create a new send campaign that goes to lead owner, then another that goes to prospect/customer.
I wonder if there's anyway to do this together, without having to create a separate campaign? I worry that we would forget this step.
Do you send internal tests to your sales/am teams? How do you automate this while eliminating extra steps of creating separate send campaigns?
Good question Mariah,
I wish there was a feature that would do this for you, since it's common practice. But there isn't.
So you will need to import a list of employees, and either include them in the smart list with the main send, or a separate smart campaign that sends to the internal list.
I do the second one. And also unfortunately you cannot send to "lead owner", you will have to upload them as people/leads.
Hey Darrell, I thought I recognized the name. I recently wrote you on Upwork.
I guess the downside to sending with the main list would be that there's no chance to edit mistakes/misquotes. Although that might open the flood gates if we allow all team members to provide feedback.
Thanks for the response.
Does anyone else have a different approach?
I heard that CC will be a thing in the future. However, right now, the workaround is the Send Alert flow action. Send Email to Lead, Send Alert to any other email. If you want to test this out, Send Alert first to Sales.
oh i like the send alert idea! that's a good one, good call.
I forgot you could send that same email as an alert! I was thinking send alert was for operational emails. Great idea!
Hi Mariah,
All the more so as you can send the alert to a {{lead. token.Typically, you can set a smart list of your internal people and used a send alert to {{lead.email address}}
