Salesforce Sync Error - Exception Message

While adding the leads to Salesforce Campaign from Marketo, it throws an exception error : unable to obtain exclusive access to this record or 1 records. What could be the possible reason of this error here?

Thank you for your reply Sanford, I tried searching for it  but other posts say "UNABLE_TO_LOCK_ROW". What does "UNABLE_TO_LOCK_ROW" refer to here? In my case error does not say "UNABLE_TO_LOCK_ROW" are both these error type the same?
