Re: Restrict User Access to Certain Folders or Programs

We are working with an outside vendor that is creating some emails and email templates for us.  Is there a way to set them up as a user but somehow restrict there access to only certain folders/programs where they would be able to upload emails?

If you do work with outside vendors/agencies/designers, how do you handle their access to your instance?

Thanks,

Tim

This is a sorely needed feature.  Vote up these ideas:

I believe there is an Idea to add folder level restrictions.

You can create Roles specific to vendor Roles. For example:

  • Design - create/edit templates, but not approve
  • Lead Database View only.
  • Analytics only
  • Create Programs and Campaigns, but cannot activate or send emails.

things like that.

Might workspaces help here?

Hey,

Sure, but I am trying to see if there's a way without having N number of workspace.

Eg: There are region wise workspace like APAC, EMEA, Americas, etc. APAC workspace has different countries folder - like Singapore, Australia, Japan. Japan users need not see other country assets or records.

No, not possible. Workspaces are really the only thing that regulates user access.

Hi Josh, is there a feature to give permission at folder level?
