Re-Opening Cold Leads

We have leads that have gone cold for various reasons and were given a closed status. We have created a new cadence we will be entering them in and would like to set up a campaign to change their person status from Closed to Open so they appear on our lead queue in Salesforce. Initially I was just going to add it as a rule when they re-fill out a form or reach a threshold to change their status to open but wondering if there may be a better solution that anyone has done to recycle leads?

Re: Re-Opening Cold Leads

We run our 're-MQL' processes via the same scoring threshold that the MQL process, so anyone that's been recycled will have the same opportunity to become an MQL again. If there isn't an active scoring model, then you could make it activity-based like you mentioned below.

This also works well in combination with a Revenue Cycle Model. If you have different stages for your leads (including disqualified or recycled) and allow them to go back through the process....you can simply use the same scoring thresholds or other criteria to change the status back into qualified MQL.

Re: Re-Opening Cold Leads

We have a batch campaign that runs daily to recycle the older closed out leads to Cold stage - for e.g. leads that have been in closed opportunity for sometime (say x months, varies from clients to clients per the length of their sales cycle) and no new opportunity have been added/updated for a while (this duration varies from client to client too per the length of their sales cycle). This batch campaign recycle the leads to the Cold stage and reset their behavior scores/Status values and from where they follow the similar status/transition updates as their interact with the marketing assets.
