A possible reason for this is you are having same audience qualifying for more than 1 campaign & thus receiving multiple emails from multiple campaigns.
Although you have set up people to run once through the campaign but this does not restrict leads receive mails from different campaigns.
A possible solution to restrict multiple emails send is by setting up Communication Limits.

Are these the same Marketo person, or in fact different people with the same email address? Depending on how you’ve designed your campaigns, it’s possible for people with the same email address to run separately through the Send Email step (e.g. if you’re using Request Campaign). A single batch that runs through a Send Email will be deduped first, but not different batches in the same day or triggered/requested campaigns.
