Re: On24 Good or Bad?

Does anyone have any good or bad to tell me about ON24?  We are currently using Readytalk but the ON24 rep just hit us up so wanting to know if it's better, worse, the same?

Ready talk is good.  I wish the polling questions and Q&A Chat were integrated though and the slides in Readytalk only allow one set to be added so there's the chance that slides could be overwritten by one person over another.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

We are using GoToWebcast and I'm still confused if that's part of GoTo Webinar or not. We integrated with Marketo using the API, because it's not an installed Service within Marketo Launch Point.

Is anybody else using GoToWebcast?

I used On24 at a prior company and I used RT at a prior company. Personally, I preferred On24 for a number of reasons. The dashboard that the attendee sees is much more customizable. The analytics we got from On24 were great. The presenter dash was easy to use and run. Admittedly, I wasn't on the team that used RT very much, I dealt more with the Marketo integration. On24's Marketo integration is about the same. I know RT is working on integrating the poll questions (my last company did a beta test of it). I also know On24/Marketo can build out custom objects to sync the poll questions too, but you have to pay for it.

Thanks for asking the question! I am in the exact same spot and was just looking at On24 a couple of hours ago before this popped up!

Hi Broke

Here is what i discovered while taking to ON24

  • They have one  single interface for multiple options to to live webinar, On Demand Webinars and Simu-live which is basically recording a webinar and play it (as if live) then at the end take over and go live with Q&A
    • To do the same things with Citrix you need GoTowebinar and GoToWebcast. the later that not sync back to Marketo and it is not a certified app
  • Registration pages are 100% customizable with templates or HTML
    • Citrix is very limited here
  • The interface looks great and seems a lot easier to work with than Citrix
  • All webinars can be accessed via the browser without an application something Citrix could not do until recently
  • ON24 will synchronize in almost real time to Marketo.
    • Citrix sys it can take up to 2 days.
  • ON24 On demand can pass data back to Marketo as to how much of the On Demand webinar has been watched so you can score on these.
    • we use Vidyard for this

I would say that overall it sound like a better product for marketing purposes. I am waiting for a quote to see if costwise it is acceptable.

Hope this helps.

Hi Axel,

Thank you for the detailed comparison of On24.  We're also looking at it, switching from WebEx.  Do you know what the pricing and plans are for On24?

We are a long-time On24 customer.  Times have changed at On24.  There is now a highly skilled Marketo integration guru on staff at On24.  His name is Jared, and his knowledge of Marketo APIs and enthusiasm for their use is a breath of fresh air.

We are also using On24 and we are hosting around 150 webinars per year. Integration was set up before I joined the team but it has been great for the year and a half that I've been using it within Marketo.

Thank you all for the feedback. It is very useful to read that people are happy with ON24. I spoke to them and what i like most is that it seems to be one too for several tasks ie Webinars, ON Demand and Webcasting.

All systems have their pros and cons but if you're producing a high number of webinars, I would recommend On24.

You also made reference to polling questions. On24 has an integration service through Scribe, that can pass that information to Marketo. http://www.on24.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/ON24-Integration-Service-Datasheet.pdf

Has anyone used the scribe integration for things like polling questions?  I have heard that it actually syncs info like this to the campaign in SFDC.  If anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks,

Jason

Interesting and can't wait to hear responses from those who have.  I currently am not!

If that is easily connected to Marketo, then that's a huge one-up that ON24 would have on GTW.

I've used ON24 (in the past), and Go-to-Webinar currently. Both have worked well for me with out a problem. I don't work for either company.

We are getting ready to deploy ON24.  I like the integration aspects of it.

We also have RT for internal meetings, not a huge fan as it's slow, and requires a cumbersome app.

I have also used Cisco, GtW, join.me (LogMeIn) and others.

I like the full flexibility that ON24 has to offer!

Hello Geoff

Have you seen by any chance a feature analysis document between GTW and On24?

We use GTW but we are thinking of moving to ON24. The main reason is that we want to be able to also to Webcasting as opposed to webinars. Citrix has GoToWebcast but the sync is one way only with Marketo and it is not fully supported. So instead of having GTW for webinars and ON24 for webcasting, we are think of just using ON24 for everything.

My experience with GTW is a mixed one. We  have seen issues such as credentials being lost between Marketo and Citrix with no warning. We also uncovered an issue with sync status and it took 2 years for Marketo and Citrix to acknowledge the issue. We are being told it has been fixed but who knows.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Axel

Axel Baran,

Sorry, I have not.  I was removed from the selection process with my company, but helped on integration.

That piece, I will say, is superb!  Easy to set up trackable templates and reporting.

There is a need for a short wait step for {{webinar.url}} to sync, but not significant.  I think this is pretty standard with whomever you choose.
