Not tracking webpage views in Marketo

We made  a page in wordpress, and we had our seed list test and view our webpage but Marketo is not tracking. It seems like we have everything configured correct on the backend, and I created a smart list on my reports and it doesnt show anything.. any insight?

Re: Not tracking webpage views in Marketo

Your page is indeed sending Munchkin hits (checking the F12 Console is always the first move):

We don’t recommend using GTM to inject Munchkin, but that’s unlikely to be causing any problems in your case.

What you have to be sure of is whether people have associated Munchkin sessions.  A session is automatically associated if you (1) fill out a Marketo form or (2) click a tracked link in a Marketo email — of course with cookies enabled in both cases.

If a session is not associated, it’s anonymous, meaning the hits will still be logged to Marketo but will only be available in Anonymous Web Page Activity reports until the session is assoicated.

Re: Not tracking webpage views in Marketo

There is a Marketo tracking cookie on the page, but did you check whether the code was implemented correctly?

Do you see any anonymous traffic on the domain in your Web Activity report?

Did you send an email to the people on your seed list to associate their cookie with your known record? Otherwise you will not see the visits on their activity history.

Some starting points to get you going 😊
