Multiple campaigns in SFDC

We have a need to send out an email twice a month to a group of people, but the group itself changes based on whether or not they qualify for the smart list criteria at the time of the schedule.  The challenge is that members can sometimes and often do overlap.  So for example John Doe may be included in email send #1 and #4, but not #2, and so on.  We essentially want to treat each email send as it's own campaign in Salesforce, but are having challenges trying to design.

Maybe to say another way, we could create/clone a Program in Marketo and a Campaign in Salesforce manually twice a month for a total of 24 during the year, but there would seem to be a better way.  And we have many more campaigns like this, so relying on any manual steps is unrealistic.

Thanks in advance for any ideas/advice!

Re: Multiple campaigns in SFDC

Well, if you create separate program in Marketo, you can choose to create and sync the corresponding SFDC campaign(s) using the OOTB Marketo program and SFDC campaign sync. This way you'd only need to manage everything at the Marketo's end, i.e., changing program member status, setting program channel, cost, etc. If you'd like to track people separately for each of the email sends, I think you should create separate programs instead of trying to collate all sends in one (you'd have better and more sensible reporting data if programs are separate).

Alternatively, if you'd like to have single Marketo program - multiple SFDC campaign system, you can create separate campaigns in SFDC like you said and use the available campaign member flow steps in the Marketo SC to add/update people in the respective SFDC campaign. However, in this approach you'd have to manage both Marketo and SFDC side of build on your own.
