Hi,
If we have a Marketo program A linked to an SFDC Campaign A and has approx 1000 members in it.
And if we change the SFDC campaign lets say it B to the same program A then will the new contacts coming to the program will be sent to new SFDC campaign. Will there be any impact to the old members in Marketo program.
Please advise here.
Thanks,
Ravi.
When you say change the SFDC campaign to B, I assume you are changing it in the set up on the program level and not in a flow step. If this is the case, then the marketo program members A of 1000 will flow into your new campaign SFDC B. You can think of it as an open pipeline communication between the two. If you don't want this to happen, disconnect from SFDC A if you don't want any new ones to flow into SFDC A, and use a flow step to add new ones to SFDC campaign B.
Hi Jessica,
Yes, this is when we change the Salesforce campaign sync to another campaign in the summary page of the program.
When I change the sync to SFDC Campaign B then I don't want the old 1000 members to flow in the new campaign B, I only want the new ones to be going into new SFDC campaign B.
Any recommendations on how to achieve it.
Thanks for your support on my query.
Regards,
Ravi.
Like Jessica said, you can use a Flow step to do a forward-only member sync (though it isn't automatic).
I'm not clear on why you can't clone the program instead. I would find such a "historically synced" program overly fragile and don't see the upside.
Hi Sanford,
Thanks for your reply. Yes we can clone them and do the required changes. Just wanted to understand what happens when we sync an existing program to new SFDC campaign.
I am clear now. Thank You.

Ravi.
